The LDH Studio Terms and Conditions

Welcome to The LDH Studio. These Terms & Conditions outline the expectations, policies, and procedures that ensure a smooth, safe, and positive experience for every client and stylist.
By booking or attending an appointment, you agree to the terms below.


Self-Employed Stylist Structure


The LDH Studio hosts a collective of independent, self-employed stylists, each operating their own business within our space.

This means:

  • Appointments, pricing, refunds, corrections, consultations, and stylist communication are managed directly by each stylist. 
  • The LDH Studio provides the workspace but does not employ, manage, or oversee the stylists’ business decisions. 
  • Any concerns about a service must be addressed with the stylist who performed the work.
     

We are happy to guide you to the correct stylist if needed.


Bookings & Deposits


  • When booking an appointment, you enter into a direct agreement with your stylist. 
  • Some stylists may require deposits for certain services (e.g., colour, extensions, corrections). 
  • Deposits are typically non-refundable unless otherwise stated by your stylist. 
  • Please ensure your contact details are accurate so your stylist can reach you.
     

Cancellations & No-Shows


To protect our stylists’ time and livelihood:

  • 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule. 
  • Cancellations within 48 hours may incur a 50% charge. 
  • No-shows may be charged 100% of the booked service. 
  • Repeated cancellations may result in refusal of future bookings.
     

Each stylist may have additional conditions, which they will communicate directly.


Consultations & Patch Testing


For your safety and in line with industry standards:

  • A skin test must be completed 48 hours before any colour service. 
  • Some services require a consultation before booking. 
  • The LDH Studio and its stylists reserve the right to refuse colour services without a valid patch test. 
  • We may also decline a service if there are health or safety concerns (e.g., irritated scalp, allergies, contraindications).
     

Service Satisfaction & Corrections


If you are unhappy with your result:

  • You must contact your stylist within 7 days of your appointment. 
  • Stylists may offer an adjustment or correction at their discretion. 
  • Any corrective work must be completed by the original stylist, in the salon.
     

The LDH Studio cannot authorise or carry out corrections on behalf of another stylist.


Refunds


Refunds are not issued by The LDH Studio.
All refund decisions are made solely by the self-employed stylist who provided the service.

In general:

  • Refunds for completed services are not offered unless the stylist determines it appropriate. 
  • Adjustments or re-dos are the standard resolution route.
     

Pricing & Payments


  • Prices are set individually by each stylist. 
  • Payment methods (cash, card, online) may vary by stylist. 
  • Any promotional offers are stylist-specific unless otherwise stated.
     

Client Conduct


We strive to maintain a calm, inclusive, and respectful environment.
We do not tolerate:

  • Aggressive or abusive behaviour 
  • Harassment of any kind 
  • Discrimination 
  • Intimidation or disruptive behaviour
     

Stylists reserve the right to refuse service if a client behaves in a way that compromises safety or wellbeing.


Health, Safety & Aftercare


Clients agree to:

  • Disclose any allergies, medical conditions, or previous adverse reactions 
  • Follow aftercare recommendations 
  • Understand that some results (e.g., colour corrections, transformations) may require multiple sessions
     

The LDH Studio and stylists are not responsible for damage caused by failing to follow aftercare guidance.


Personal Belongings


Please keep personal items with you.
The LDH Studio cannot be held responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings while on the premises.


Privacy & Data Protection


We take your privacy seriously.
Your information is processed according to our Privacy Policy, available on our website.

Stylists may handle client data independently for their bookings and services.


Studio Use & Photography


  • The LDH Studio may, with permission, take before-and-after photos for social media and portfolio use. 
  • You may decline photography at any time — just let your stylist know.
     

Children & Guests


To maintain a relaxing and safe environment:

  • Children must be supervised at all times. 
  • Space within the studio is limited, so additional guests may not always be accommodated.
     

Changes to Terms & Conditions


We may update these Terms & Conditions to reflect new policies, legal requirements, or operational changes.
The most current version will always be available on our website.
